A company is looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide Break & Fix support across enterprise infrastructure environments.

This freelance, on-call role requires a highly skilled professional able to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network and infrastructure-related incidents efficiently, while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.

Role overview:

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Nutanix and networking technologies, a valid CCNA certification and fluent English communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure-related incidents;
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments, including AOS, AHV and Prism;
• Perform system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management activities;
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, virtualization and network issues;
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and related technologies;
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions;
• Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times;
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud-related projects;
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident reports and service records;
• Ensure professional interaction with end users, stakeholders and customers at all times.

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering;
• Strong hands-on experience with the Nutanix ecosystem, including AOS, AHV and Prism;
• Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments;
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching;
• Proven experience providing Break & Fix support in enterprise environments;
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues;
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions;
• Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python is advantageous.

Mandatory requirements:

• Valid CCNA certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate;
• Minimum 90% pass score on the induction assessment;
• Fluent spoken and written English communication skills;
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments;
• Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Nutanix certification, NCP or higher;
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP;
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform;
• Experience supporting enterprise networking infrastructure.

Natixis in Portugal is currently seeking a Senior Developer to join its Payments team, within the IT department.

Main responsibilities:

• Create designs for software applications that meet specified requirements;
• Analyze requirements, identify appropriate architectural patterns and establish development blueprints;
• Write code to implement software applications based on the defined design;
• Use appropriate programming languages, frameworks and libraries to build scalable and functional applications;
• Conduct tests to ensure the functionality, reliability and quality of software applications;
• Develop and execute test cases, perform testing and analyze test results;
• Identify and resolve software defects and issues through error log analysis, debugging tools and troubleshooting techniques;
• Create technical documentation, user guides and API documentation;
• Identify root causes and apply problem-solving techniques to resolve software issues and improve efficiency;
• Work closely with the team, project managers and business analysts to understand requirements and clarify objectives;
• Keep up to date with industry and best practice trends, using insights to implement new processes and initiatives;
• Actively engage in and apply development methodologies to support successful delivery and continuous improvement.

Hard skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field;
• Master’s degree, valued;
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong focus on backend technologies and architecture;
• Experience in the payments or financial services industry, preferred;
• Proficiency in Java, preferably versions 17 or 21, with Java 21 preferred;
• Hands-on experience developing scalable applications;
• Knowledge of Spring Boot Framework, versions 3.4.x or 3.5;
• Good understanding of Angular 21 or close versions;
• Knowledge of Kafka and Spring Batch;
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as OpenShift, AWS or Azure;
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture;
• Knowledge of best practices in software development;
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence, preferred;
• Proficiency in English, minimum B2 level, mandatory;
• Proficiency in French, highly valued.
