Core Responsibilities: Live Interpretation and Cultural Bridging
In this digital role, you will conduct sophisticated Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) and Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) calls, preserving precise technical meanings and cultural context.
- Real-Time Interpretation: Provide fluent, live verbal interpretation during critical conversations, including medical emergencies, court hearings, and first-responder dispatches.
- Specialised Terminology: Confidently understand and use complex, industry-specific terminology across the fields of medicine, law, finance, and public safety.
- Integrity and Objectivity: Uphold strict data security, complete confidentiality, and total impartiality, while complying fully with international standards.
- Cultural Navigation: Identify and resolve subtle cultural misunderstandings to ensure clear and accurate communication between all participants.
- Platform Efficiency: Use a secure, dedicated cloud-based system to manage your schedule and maintain an efficient digital workflow.

Essential Qualifications
- Language Fluency: Native-level or C2-certified proficiency in both Ukrainian and English, including a strong command of technical vocabulary, regional slang, and local idioms.
- Right to Work: Applicants must be EU citizens or hold a valid Portuguese residence permit.
- Cognitive Focus: Exceptional active listening skills and a strong short-term memory, enabling you to absorb, interpret, and communicate complex information in real time.
- Composure Under Pressure: The emotional resilience required to remain calm, impartial, and professional during distressing crisis calls or emergency situations.
- Remote Setup: A dedicated, quiet workspace free from interruptions, together with a high-speed fibre-optic internet connection providing at least 20 Mbps download and upload speeds.
