Natixis in Portugal is a Centre of Expertise whose mission is to transform traditional banking by developing innovative solutions for the business, operations and work culture of Groupe BPCE worldwide.

As part of Groupe BPCE’s international division, Natixis in Portugal designs and delivers solutions for its two core areas, Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset & Wealth Management, as well as transversal services that support all entities across the Group.

With more than 3,000 employees representing 46 nationalities, the teams work across Information Technology, Banking Support Activities and Compliance, in an integrated, inclusive and cross-functional way.

Generic responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on technical issues and identify areas for process improvement;
  • Propose solutions to improve efficiency and quality;
  • Develop and deliver presentations and training sessions on technical topics;
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to other team members, helping them develop their technical skills;
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization to develop integrated technical solutions;
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues and defects;
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed solutions, when applicable;
  • Collaborate with managers and experts to align technology initiatives with overall business goals;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of technical best practices at Natixis;
  • Participate in industry conferences and events, when applicable, and stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends;
  • Coordinate resources and/or provide informal and functional coordination of less senior technicians, when required;
  • Support other Business Units in the area of expertise, upon justified need and Corporate Stakeholders’ validation.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the technical strategy, roadmap and architecture of Natixis;
  • Ensure technical strategy and architecture are aligned with business goals and strategy;
  • Develop and maintain technical governance policies and procedures;
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can improve the organization’s technical capabilities;
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices within Natixis;
  • Guarantee alignment with relevant standards and regulations;
  • Represent Natixis at technical conferences and events;
  • Participate in industry conferences and events to stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends.

Qualifications and profile:

  • Postgraduate Degree, MBA, PhD or specialized technical training;
  • Appointment by the Management Committee;
  • Highly extensive and specific knowledge and skills, supported by vast professional experience in a specialized field;
  • Substantial academic training and broad business knowledge;
  • Recognition as an authority in a specific area of knowledge;
  • Ability to handle non-routine situations requiring the adaptation and development of new solutions;
  • Ability to research and innovate to solve critical, complex and unpredictable problems;
  • Continuous focus on evaluating and improving processes and methodologies to optimize IT development and delivery;
  • Autonomy to make decisions and solve highly complex problems;
  • Ability to determine methods and procedures for innovative assignments;
  • Ability to coordinate technical activities or complex projects within an area;
  • Ability to guide the technical activity of experienced team members;
  • Strong influence and persuasion skills across different audiences;
