The Global Procurement Blades Department is part of the overall Vestas Global Procurement Organization. Blades procurement is responsible for the management and development of the Global supplier base within the Blades product area including external manufacturing of blades and materials for internal and external manufacturing of the blades. The department is closely linked with the headquarters and centralized functions across the value chain. The Department is split into 3 procurement areas whereas this specialist function is supporting across in terms of developing the setup and thereby enabling further value creation from the full GP Blades team.

The Blades procurement team is based of 28 people located in Denmark, Portugal, Spain, China, India, Mexico, and Brazil. The procurement work within Vestas is managed through cross-functional teams responsible for each specific procurement category.

We are responsible for developing the supply base short, medium & long term with a view to always be able to satisfy requirements (KPIs) re. safety, quality, delivery, and cost and thereby contribute actively to improve the good skills of the group. Leading and driving improvement to Total Cost of Ownership is imperative.

Responsibilities

The responsibility of this position is to consolidate all optimization projects across the department with special focus and attention towards E2E optimization across the value chain. Hereunder projects with focus of Cost-out, Logistic optimization, New supply Chain development, Supplier consolidation, Waste reduction in Processes.
Also, specific focus and attention towards aim of process optimization into the new products, modules and systems and the ability to reach the correct costing the first time.
Work with all commodities to be an integral part of the commodity teams and ensure alignment between Cost-out opportunities and commodity strategies
Working with and expanding the organization in order to continuously develop and improve the work and initiate new initiatives for value add and cost-out.

Qualifications

We expect that you hold a M.Sc. in Engineering, M.Sc. in Economics & Business Administration or a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant education.

In addition to that we expect that:

You have minimum 6 years of sourcing and procurement work or from an engineering department.
You are a great communicator who are experienced in coordinating with multiple stakeholders
You are a good project manager
You understand English both verbally and in writing
You are an experienced IT user (Microsoft Office, SAP, Ariba)
