Are you ready to guide innovation and shape the future of wind turbine technology? Join Vestas Power Solutions as a Module Architecture & Modularization Lead. Be at the forefront of defining module architecture and modularization concepts.

Power Solutions & Vestas Quality > Applications, Controls & Electrical > Converter & Electrical Module > C&E Technical Management

Within the business unit Vestas Power Solutions, the Converter & Electrical (C&E) Module is responsible for the technology and product development of the wind turbine’s frequency converters, their control, high-voltage transformers, switchgear, and cables. C&E’s Technical Management is the organisational sub-module holding the responsibility to set and steer technical direction across all functions in the C&E Module. The Module Architecture & Modularization Lead (MAML) position forms part of the TM team.

Responsibilities

As a Module Architecture & Modularization Lead, your primary responsibility is to facilitate and define the module’s functional and physical architecture. Your daily tasks will revolve around identifying current gaps in the architecture and turning these into concepts aligned across product, design, and value chain areas.

The MAML’s fingerprint is more prominent in Architecture Development than in Technology and Product Development.

You will be the primary change agent driving the ’modular mindset’ within the module and sub-modules, ensuring the translation of performance demands from user factors and product roadmaps into functional and technical requirements.

You will work closely with the Senior Functional Leads in the technical management team under the guidance of the Module Design Owner, as well as with MAMLs from adjacent modules and product architects.

Your responsibilities include:

Represent the module in the architecture development project

Ensure the integrity and stability of the architecture across product and module-level development projects (functions, requirements, interfaces, and configuration modules)

Engage in cross-product and module architecture community

Ensure generic architecture interface definitions, including criticality assessment

Drive modularization of design through the maturation of Modular Product Development relevant processes, tools, and metrics

Encourage and pioneer Modular Product Development knowledge through sufficient training and research

Qualifications

To fulfil the position, you should possess deep insights into the engineering and architectural practises relevant to product design. You have +10 (7) years of relevant experience combined with an education in Engineering, which gives you an efficient, fact-based approach to your tasks. To qualify for the role, you should have experience with:

Model-based systems engineering

Engineering architecture frameworks

Engineering design processes

Modular Product Development

Competencies

On a personal level, we envision that you have/are:

A collaborative and open-minded talent who wants to be a part of a global cross-functional team in an organisation with personal, professional, and cultural diversity

Curious and enthusiastic about building value-creating, scalable and documented solutions

You thrive in a changeable environment and have a creative mindset, adapting to the ever-changing conditions of this area

Good communication skills combined with a practical and problem-solving approach to getting the job done

Aspiration to learn and contribute to the common growth of the team
