Post-Harvest Assistant

We are looking for a Post-Harvest Assistant to join our team and support daily post-harvest operations. This is a hands-on operational role, with active involvement across all stages of the post-harvest process. In addition, this position includes exposure to drying room monitoring and occasional team coordination responsibilities, offering a great opportunity for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support post-harvest activities, including processing, drying, curing, trimming, grading, and packaging

• Monitor drying room conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow) and support the control of the drying process to ensure product quality and consistency

• Assist with LOD sampling and basic quality checks related to drying and post-harvest operations

• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation of work areas and equipment

• Assist with quality control and the separation of non-conforming product

• Follow safety, hygiene, and quality procedures (GACP/GMP)

• Perform basic computer tasks (data entry, records, internal systems)

• Support documentation related to post-harvest and drying activities

• Work closely with the supervisor and team to ensure processes are followed correctly

• Provide backup support to the Post-Harvest Manager/Supervisor when required, including:

– Supporting daily task coordination

– Helping guide team activities

– Ensuring continuity of operations

Profile:

• Portuguese and English (spoken and written)

• Interest in operational roles and teamwork

• Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and attention to detail

• Willingness to learn and grow within the post-harvest area

• Good computer skills (data entry, email, internal systems)

Strong sense of accountability and problem-solving mindset

• Previous experience in post-harvest operations (preferred)
