CoE Accounting Specialist | Foreign Exchange (FX)

Your Responsibilities
Join our dynamic Decathlon Finance Center of Excellence in Lisbon, a global hub supporting over 30 countries in 10 core accounting processes. As an FX Accounting Specialist, you’ll support the Foreign Exchange (FX) process, working closely with local referents, ensuring accounting reliability, and contributing to our finance transformation journey.

Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closings related to FX operations
Manage foreign exchange revaluations and FX accounting entries across multiple countries
Support intercompany FX reconciliations and ensure alignment with treasury movements
Collaborate with local teams to ensure the reliability of FX-related figures
Prepare documentation and data for internal and external audits
Identify and investigate FX accounting discrepancies and propose corrective actions
Launch and monitor quality action plans for FX accounting in coordination with referents
Handle ad hoc missions and contribute to process improvement projects
Develop technical expertise within the FX process and related tools

Your Profile
Must-have:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Management
Minimum B1+ level in English, both written and spoken
Strong planning and organisational skills
A team player with effective communication skills and collective mindset
Attention to detail and responsibility for accuracy

Nice-to-have:

1+ year of experience in accounting or treasury
Knowledge of FX mechanisms and financial instruments
Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish or French
Curiosity for automation, data tools, and continuous improvement
Analytical mindset with a proactive attitude to solve problems
