MISSION

As a DRAUGHTSMAN for FUSION FUEL, you will be of a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing and planning all technical projects drawings (2D and 3D). You will be able to draw industrial processes, mechanical/electrical projects and general layouts for our plants construction purposes. You will be communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings. Ultimately, you’ll help us build functional, secure and well-designed products and structures that meet our needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Creates detailed technical drawings and plans that serve as a blueprint for the construction process, providing essential information for architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project

– Uses Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, to create and modify construction drawings

– Understands and interprets architectural and engineering blueprints to ensure that their drawings accurately represent the intended design

– Updates and revises drawings as the construction project progresses and design changes, ensuring all changes are accurately recorded for project documentation

– Assists C&I, O&M and other engineers in the conceptualization and development of projects by providing technical drawings and visual representations

– Takes measurements and performs calculations to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of design elements

– Specifies materials, dimensions, and quantities required for construction or manufacturing processes

– Translates rough sketches, verbal descriptions, or conceptual ideas into clear and detailed technical drawings

– Adheres to established drafting standards and practices to maintain consistency and efficiency in drawing creation

– Designs industrial processes (P&IDs) as well as design isometrics for execution

– Designs electrical schematics, switchboards and other project layouts

– Ensures final designs are compliant with regulations

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

– High school diploma or equivalent; additional Professional Draughtsman Certificate is mandatory

– Proven work experience with more than 5 years’ experience in the chemical or industrial process

– Knowledge of design standards and legislation

– Proven Experience with process, electrical and mechanical documentation (P&ID, H&MB, PFD, Data sheets…)

– Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD 2D and Plant 3D)

– Knowledge in technical catalogues in Plant 3D

– Knowledge of other design software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, will be valued

– Attention to detail, accuracy and precision are the basic for this position

– Good communication skills to understand project requirements and convey technical information

– Adaptability to adjust work based on feedback or project changes
