IT Infrastructure Administrator (m/f/d)

Location: Porto, Portugal

Working hours: Afternoon & Evening

What’s about:

Join AnalytiChem’s team as a dedicated and experienced IT Infrastructure Administrator to transform company operations worldwide. This role involves managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, implementing network security protocols, setting up and managing virtualization environments, and troubleshooting technical issues. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and leverage data experience to collaborate with local IT teams worldwide to optimize system performance. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the company to the next level by ensuring our IT systems align with business objectives.

You will work mainly together with an international team located in US and Canada as well as the IT headquarter in Germany. Each site has local IT assistants executing installations and supporting the local teams so the main focus for your work will be remote activities through VPN tunnels.

Key Responsibilities:

Management and maintenance of IT infrastructure
Implementation and monitoring of network security protocols
Updating and installing hardware and software
Setting up and managing virtualization environments, especially VMware and Hyper-V solutions
Knowledge in firewall systems and their networking, preferably with systems from Sophos
Knowledge in backup infrastructure and their setup and monitoring, preferably with solutions from the manufacturer VEEAM
Troubleshooting technical issues and providing IT support
Collaboration with local IT teams worldwide to optimize system performance

About You:

Completed degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
At least 3 years of experience in similar position
In-depth knowledge of network architecture and data communication
Experience with cloud services, virtualization technologies, and operating systems
Strong problem-solving skills and detail orientation
