In The Pink is a newly founded gallery for Fine Art Photography in the Algarve. Located in a beautiful restored historic building over three floors in the center of Loulé, the gallery promotes regular exhibitions of contemporary photo art from internationally renowned artists. In The Pink aims to be at the centre of photo art in the Algarve, playing a key role in Portugal’s creative and cultural landscape.

In the Pink is looking for a Gallery Assistant on a full-time basis to join the team as soon as possible. This position entails responsibilities in welcoming the public, interaction with clients and assistance in sales activities, social media and communications management, stock organisation and art registration, general gallery administration, shipments and transports planning, as well as website and e-commerce related activities. The job requires Saturday work and on occasion additional hours during show openings and art fairs.

The ideal candidate should have a solid experience and strong motivation, as well as demonstrated academic interest and/or work experience with culture, art and/or photography. Previous experience in a related cultural institution is desirable, along with knowledge of graphic design and photography development software tools.

This position requires currently living in the Algarve, as well as being fluent both in Portuguese and in English (spoken and written).
