Vestas Mediterranean (MED) is a Sales Business Unit (SBU) within Vestas Wind Systems A/S, covering markets in the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Northwest Africa. Vestas MED is responsible for developing these markets in terms of sales, project installation, and service. Vestas has been operating on the Latin American market since 1992 with a Sales & Service office located in Mexico DF, Sao Paulo, and Santiago de Chile. Wind farms are mainly located in Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Brazil, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, México, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Nicaragua. Vestas Mediterranean, Service Department – The Service Department is responsible for the smooth running of our customer’s wind farms, ensuring the highest levels of performance from each turbine for its entire lifespan. It works to ensure that the turbines are operational to their maximum capacity, delivering the best possible energy yield for customers. As such, the team is key to maintaining long-term customer loyalty.
As a Cyber Security Expert, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining secure power plants concepts and local options, based on Vestas standards and customer-specific requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer as well as all kind of solutions around our Cyber security products to resolve issues/projects with moderate complexity. Your geographical scope is Southern Europe and Latin America. Your primary tasks will be:
Be the regional anchor for the global Vestas Cyber security program
Support Field support Engineering of the power plant to clarify/meet the site-specific requirements and support WTG sales, after-sales and existing contracts
Assemble regional requirements for Cyber security
Give input for a global roadmap and implement new solutions
Help out in responding to questions on compliance, compliance assessments, etc.
Remote commissioning and support
Audit existing cybersecurity fitness and train field operations in good cybersecurity practices
Development and Engineering involvement in improvement projects to increase Security and provide a better service to our customer
Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in Science or Engineering, for instance, electronics or Software Engineering
Minimum of five years of experience within Cyber security, for example in operational technology or specifically in the energy sector
Insight into Cyber security frameworks Such as NERC-CIP, CSC-20, NIST, AESCSF, IEC62443 or similar
Overall, a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience within PLC programming, Automation, or with SCADA systems is good
Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge
Motivated by finding solutions to meet customer needs inside existing design constraints
Good communication skills in English, both in speech and writing
Ability to guide groups to build acceptable solutions
This may come through systems engineering, project management, or direct management experience
Deep knowledge of Networking
SCADA and SQL server knowledge
Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge’s
