BIT is the Information Systems area of Sonae MC. A group of people who live for the business and technology breakthroughs, creating fast, cohesive management and decision tools.

We are looking for a CLOUD ARCHITECT to join our INFRASTRUCTURE‘S TEAM at BIT.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the Cloud Architect’s mission is to drive and lead the technology decisions for current and future development of infrastructure-based solutions.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOUR DAY…
Design high-level infrastructure-based solutions (compute, storage, networking, cloud, databases) in a clear and efficient way for relevant initiatives, supporting all others when needed;
Define and manage infrastructure evolution strategy and roadmaps, aligned with enterprise objectives incorporating technology trends and innovations;
Foster and implement infrastructure architecture and technology guidelines, standards and best practices;
Ensure that technical designs comply with applicable architecture standards and designs are functionally and technically feasible;
Validates technology ability to meet business, performance, integration, and scalability requirements for each project;
Coach technical teams to adhere to good enterprise practices;
Partner with application architects, business partners, program managers and development teams on oversight for all requirements to formulate appropriate architecture required to provide system functionality, deciding when to advocate and when to compromise to arrive at mutually acceptable solutions;
Negotiate contracts with partners to accomplish better TCO (Total Cost Ownership);
Understands the long-term business objectives and proposes technology strategies to meet those objectives;
Play a leading role in the investigation of new technologies, incorporating innovation on architectural initiatives, to meet medium to long term business needs.

WHAT MAKES YOU THE ONE…

More than 3 years of experience on IT architecture definition (mandatory), experience 3+ years as a systems engineer, and implementing infrastructure based solutions (compute, virtualization, cloud, storage, networking, databases);
Demonstrated understanding of cloud architecture solutions;
Participating in the design of core infrastructure technology and driving adoption;
Experience in container technology, including Kubernetes;
Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services;
Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation;
Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes (Docker, Gitlab, Jenkins, Kubernetes);
Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for application;
Graduation in IT area or similar;

Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the “why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation
Ability to work at tactical and strategic level simultaneously.
