At Aprendizes our vision is “to form balanced human beings to collaboratively transform the world”. We are a school located in the green outskirts of Cascais with a beautiful view on the Sintra mountains and right next to the national park. We are an inclusive school with a focus on academic mastery, self- and social intelligence, sustainability and global citizenship. With strong roots in the Portuguese culture, our community of around 300 students – from pre-school to A-level – come from all around the world. We are a school in growth and it is our projection to grow to about 550 students.
Together with a team of dedicated and passionate colleagues you will help us to further develop our Cambridge program from Lower Secondary to A-level. You will be teaching students in the 1st and 2nd cycle (Portuguese curriculum) and/or secondary and A-level (Cambridge).

As a teacher you will be:
Creating strong relationship with the students and their families
Encouraging student participation in lessons and in other school-related activities related to the well-being and engagement of the students (clubs, debates, camps, exchange programs, etc.);
Ensuring the high quality standards and applying the most up-todate teaching methods;
Taking part in staff meetings, projects, and year plan activities to support the development of the school.
We expect that you have;
A Bachelor’s degree, a recognized teacher certification and relevant teaching experience to qualify;
Experience in teaching the Cambridge Curriculum (for Secondary as well as for A-level);
Fluency in English and in the language you will be teaching and at least a good level of Portuguese (speaking/understanding);
Experience from the world – preferable with experience in teaching in a global context;
Solid digital skills and a curiosity to learn more.
