As an in-house Associate Legal Counsel, you will be at the forefront of our business operations. You will be working closely with the Business Operations Lead and have exposure to the Leadership Team, Investors and Board. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in challenging, fast-paced environments and wants to work in an international tech company.

This role is for you if you are interested in helping to build an internal legal capacity at a fast-growing start-up from the ground up enabling business opportunities. Challenges & Responsibilities

Focus on legal research, drafting and reviewing various agreements and documents;
Provide legal advice and counselling on a wide range of business and legal matters relating to FRVR’s operations;
Point of contact not only for internal clients but to external providers across regions consulting on specific legal queries;
Be the go-to-person for any legal matters and assistance in internal projects;
Contribute, with a strategic mindset, to process optimization with regards to internal cross-cutting aspects of the business;
Own legal or compliance processes across the organization, including, but not limited to GDPR compliance-related processes;
Coordinate and execute all necessary efforts with regards to public grants, incentives, and regulatory matters;
Develop and maintain the database for legal documentation, knowledge & standardized pool of resources (inc contracting documentation, regulations & compliance support for business operations);
Support and participate in Due Diligence efforts and relevant corporate housekeeping;

We are looking for someone with:

A law degree (passed bar exam is a bonus, not a requirement);
Fluency in English & Portuguese;
3-5 years of total work experience in a legal capacity – high preference for someone who already has in-house experience in an international environment;
Experience and ability to understand general & commercial contracts and terms;
Ability to balance business risk with moving forward and getting things done commercially;
Previous exposure to legal knowledge around tech companies, gaming, online advertising or similar is highly desirable;
Understanding of data protection regulations & GDPR;
Strong organization, time-management, ability to prioritize efficiently and attention to detail;
Excellent listening, communication and analytical skills to articulate complex legal issues clearly and concisely to cross-functional and non-legal teams;
Self-starting, with a sense of urgency and ability to independently push through problems to find solutions;
Positive, open-minded, positive towards change and able to adapt;
