The House of Sandeman está em processo de recrutamento de um/a Chefe de Recepção para integrar a nova equipa.

MACRO LEVEL

Oversees the FO Department and allocates the available resources to achieve the organizational goals
The basic function of FOM is to supervise all the FO personnel & to ensure the proper and smooth operation of the department, that includes the reception that is also a bar and a lounge area that needs to be activated to promote an exceptional social experience to our guests
Monitors Social Media and replies to reviews under the coordination of the Director
Reports to Director
Replaces Director when on leave according to tasks delegation
Performs MOD

MICRO LEVEL

Responsible for the performance, quality control and activities of FO (Reception, Bar & Lounge area)
Perform the function of a link between the management and the FO staff
Performs stocks control and budgeting function
Plans present & future need of resources
Schedules the tasks and schedules of the FO staff
Evaluates the job performance of FO staff & fills their appraisals
Proficiently performs all tasks related to FO receptionist, concierge and bartender (under the coach of the Bar Chef)
Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously
Reviews, monitors and acts upon all reports generated by all the sections, included night auditors report
Defines FO SOPs and ensures all SOPs are followed
Conducts training programs
Maintains coordination & good communication with other departments specially with Housekeeping and Maintenance
Co-coordinates maintenance daily operations with Executive Housekeeper
Conducts regular staff meetings and staff briefing
Resolves employee grievances
Motivates the staff to work in a team within the department and with the other departments to achieve the organization objectives
Coordinates with the sales & marketing team to ensure maximum sales
Participates in the recruitment process for the FO candidates

Perfil

Bachelor degree in hospitality management or related fields preferred
Proven experience in a similar role as Front-Office Manager, at least 1 year
Proactivity and able to work independently

Good organizational and coordination skills
Customer service oriented
Relates easily with others
A team player with leadership skills
Well-presented and groomed individual with an outgoing and friendly attitude

Preferência

Experienced user in the Newhotel PMS is valued
Speaks a 3rd language, besides Portuguese and English
From/ lives/ knows well Porto area
Thinks out of the box and able to drive change and look for operational efficiencies
