A high growth, entrepreneurial VC backed European Technology business are looking to recruit a Head of Bid Management Headquartered in Lisbon, with a presence across 8 offices around the world and operations in more than a hundred countries in all 5 continents this is a high profile and challenging role reporting directly to the Director Business Solutions.

With ambitious growth plans over the next 2 years, this role will be instrumental in shaping the growth of this business and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Key aspects of the role will include:

  • Be accountable for the quality of the Bid Materials produced and presented by the Bid team along with the ‘buy-in’ from the business to utilise the resources required and submit the proposal to the customer.
  • Ensure the performance of smooth and accurate pre-award and handover phases for all won opportunities worked on by the Bid Team
  • Get involved in selected early business development processes and partners negotiations to add to the existing set of skills owned by the Business Development Task Force
  • Reviewing and reporting levels of Qualification, Risk and resource required along with own conclusions for presentation to Senior Management to enable Bid/No Bid decision
  • Strategic overview and insight as the Bid progresses to ensure quality output and management of Risk
  • Maintaining close working relationships with the Director Business Solutions, VP Sales & Marketing and regional Business Development Managers to ensure early awareness and therefore planning of all key opportunities
  • Providing coaching and leadership to the Bid Managers

In order to be considered for this role, you will have a wealth of experience working within Bid/Proposal Management, within a global business. You will possess strong leadership skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. As well as this, you must have the ability to communicate with staff at all levels to form strong working relationships.
