Principle Power’s innovative and proven technology, the WindFloat – a floating wind turbine foundation – provides access to transitional and deep-water offshore wind sites. General Description

Principle Power is looking for its new Human Resources Lead, to manage all its Human Resources related activities globally. The position will be based in Principle Power’s Lisbon office and will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Principle Power is currently undergoing high growth in different markets around the world and recently reached the 50 employees mark. This key milestone drives the need to establish a forward looking HR group which will be instrumental in building the company for the future.

Main Accountabilities

Lead, manage and coordinate all Human Resources activities globally, in close coordination with the CEO and the rest of the management team. While based in Lisbon, the HR Lead will be managing all the activities in the different locations where we are present, both with offices and projects, ranging from Europe, to the US, to Asia. Main responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate recruiting efforts in support of all the management team and leaders in the organization
  • Coordination and fostering relationships with recruiting organizations, universities and other institutions which can be source of new talent
  • Coordination with the legal team on contractual and legal HR matters
  • Coordination with the finance team on payroll and benefits matters
  • Work closely with the finance team on budgets, reporting and planning
  • Manage regular performance evaluations, and compensation packages reviews
  • Manage and foster a healthy and sustainable organizational development across the company in close proximity with the CEO, ensuring high performance of the organization and employees both across functions and across geographies
  • Manage talent development for all offices of the company and coordinate training and continuous education for employees
  • Work closely with the CEO in driving initiatives across the company to ensure a highly motivated workforce
  • Coordinate efforts in setting up any new locations, offices and teams in different geographies
  • Make presentations to the Management Team and Board on HR and Organizational development related matters
  • Represent the company at external conferences, events, etc as needed
  • Other functions as required related to Human Resources and Organizational Development

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred

Required Professional Experience: 5-10 years of professional experience, or education equivalent; International experience strongly preferred

Required Knowledge:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Specific training and certifications in HR a plus
  • Experience in the power and renewable energy space a plus

Other requirements:

  • Languages: Fluent in English required (Principle Power’s working language); Fluent Portuguese and French strongly preferred. Other languages a plus (namely in markets where we are present)
  • Good organization skills
  • Systematic and detail-oriented
  • Strong work ethics
  • Customer-minded and collaborative, with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Comfort (and experience) in working in a highly international environment and willingness to travel abroad to support responsibilities
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Principle Power in Portugal
