To own the strategic vision for the ongoing development and strategy for Sage 50c in Portugal and to own and drive the strategy for driving customers to subscription and to understand usage via consistent metrics and analysis platform. A key part of the role will be to network and collaborate with Sage colleagues and partners in the market to understand what drives customer delight and identify barriers to renewing and upgrading that may exist so that focus can then be applied and blockers removed.

This role is to be based in the Matosinhos area.

Key Responsabilities

  • Ownership of the product from identification of requirements to delivery of the solution
  • Collaboration across all Sage departments to ensure alignment on strategy and execution to deliver the financial results desired
  • Work with local and other resources to obtain detailed specifications of the competitive needs
  • Define and lead the execution (build, go-to-market and in-life success) of best-in-market product by owning the roadmap for delivering sage 50c in Spain
  • Identify analytics and metrics needs relating to tracking Sage product usage and ensure that common tools and analysis capabilities are deployed appropriate to needs
  • Balance competitive advantage, customer need and pure innovation
  • Support Product Marketing, local Management and other Sage colleagues to understand product usage to support prioritization and solution strategies
  • Be the voice and the mission of migration and metrics inside and outside Sage, outside to include press, analysts, customers and partners/accountants, and conference/industry event communications


Must Have

  • Strong accounting and ERP knowledge
  • Experience of cloud and on-premise software
  • Experience of listening, probing and interpreting needs of various stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of conceptual and strategic thinking
  • Objection handling
  • Customer/partner listening and engagement
  • Presenting and media interaction
  • Requirements management
  • Design, iteration, mock-ups
  • Multi-touch communication (From QA to analysts to the CEO to customers)
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese


  • Have a strong awareness of metric analyses tools and techniques Experience of public speaking
  • Product management experience in an agile development environment
  • Experience operating in a matrix management organization
  • Experience on software to Retail market
