Overview:

Pestana Hotel Group is looking for a Junior Social Media Manager. Candidates with passion for excellence, digital and hospitality are invited to apply for a career with Pestana Group. Previous expertise in social media management will be considered. As a member of the Digital Team, works on generating awareness of the brands and some individual hotels through several social media platforms.

Responsabilities:

  • Manage all engagement across the Group Brands and Hotel’s social media accounts, including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, LinkedIn, Google+ and other relevant social networking mediums
  • Develop initiatives, content and creative social media campaigns to grow our presence on social media
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  • Monitor User Generated Content about Hotel Units and destinations in order to ask permission to share in group’s or unit’s accounts
  • Assist in the development of the annual strategy of social media and coordinate it with the hotel units
  • Create guidelines and best practices for all hotel units to ensure the development of good local content and social media management of individual accounts
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Monitor traffic and engagement metrics
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand communication and consistency on social media
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely and adequate manner and monitor customer reviews. Coordinate responses with hotel units
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and stores)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Monitor blogs relevant to industry

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Marketing, Communication, Management, Hospitality Management or similar
  • Fluency in English. Other languages are a plus
  • Previous experience in social media management
  • Analytical skills to analyze key performance indicators
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Team work commitment
  • Resilience to challenges and difficulties
