Within the Corporate Deposits Line Europe (CDL), the CDL Sales for Europe will sell directly vanilla products term deposits to a list of clients which have been assigned to the hub. Execute the booking, monitoring, follow up and renewal of term deposits on behalf of local European sales. Gather all the deals characteristics (price, volume, duration) after Coverage / Client confirmation to get a global picture of his/her execution zone. Monitor renewal of existing term deposits base. And, will actively liaise and promote cross sell with other T.B.E. business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Gets a list of Clients in a defined execution zone

  • Meets locally with most important Clients based on list provided by CDL Advisory
  • Has a proactive attitude to sell deposit products (outcoming calls)
  • Maintains a good relationship with Clients through regular calls (to be seen as a business partner)

Books deals originated by Coverage or Cash Management Officer or any other Originator booking in CDL Europe

  • Acts as a link between Coverage, Cash Management Officer and Middle / Back Office
  • Books deals after Coverage / Client confirmation on all the deals characteristics (price, volume, duration) according to existing procedures
  • Applies deposits price on Clients deals in consistency with the pricing grid defined by CIB Corporate ALM
  • Requests for quotation to Treasury when needed
  • Negotiate and optimize deposits price with client in consistency with the pricing
  • Requests advices from Liquidity Advisor for tailor-made products
  • Covers the Brussels Hub in the event of sickness or Public Holiday

Assesses the renewal of products

  • Ensures renewal of deposits, following the CDL quality guidelines
  • Contacts Client before deal completion for renewal and asks for the new deal characteristics
  • Participates to improve quality and increase in volume of deposits

Strongly contributes to overall process monitoring

  • Has access to all deals details booked in Europe (including local sales) and eventually contacts local sales if further details are needed
  • Reports overall level of deposits amounts and pricing to Business Manager / relevant stakeholders
  • Contributes in the creation of a deposit monitoring reporting for Business Manager
  • Reports any IT user issues to ITO
  • Collects data for Market Intelligence
  • Pipeline Monitoring
  • Contributes to CDL Europe build up and namely works on I.T. System implementation
  • Co-Ordinate P&L monthly validation (London)
  • Weekly Activity Report

SKILLS

  • Degree in Finance, Management or related areas
  • English fluency (mandatory)
  • French and / or German knowledge;
  • Previous experience / exposure to a Corporate Liquidity Management line of business
  • Good knowledge of all cash & deposit products, key characteristics and specificities
  • FSA approved person (CF30)
  • Proficient in the use of the following IT tools: ALM-T MO/BO tools (Kondor+), Office tools (i.e., Excel)
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Sales representative profile / eager to develop business through outcoming calls
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
