Project Management Team:

In a changing world, a global Group such as BNP Paribas is forced to constantly adapt. To face this context of rapid transformation, CIB Portugal Solutions decided to develop a permanent team of Project Managers to support and ensure the successful execution of its transformation roadmap and strategic programme.

We are searching for someone who has a proven track-record as a Project Manager and who is eager to work and learn about Corporate and Institutional Banking.

Project Managers

Project managers are expected to integrate and strengthen the CIB Portugal Solutions Project Team to help on structuring, coordination, supervision and project management. As such their mission is to facilitate and ensure the success of transformation projects, whilst striving for the continuous improvement of their team’s project management methodologies and related tools.

All successful candidates will benefit from several training opportunities and team interactions that will provide them with the required banking know-how to allow them to drive transformation into the core of BNP Paribas.


  • As a Project Manager you will advise or manage end-to-end projects, ensuring the key outcomes are delivered:
  • Provide methodological / expertise support to deliver the ongoing initiative
  • Bring top down perspective and escalate any transversal issues
  • Prioritize / accelerate and secure delivery of projects’ streams and tasks
  • Propose meaningful governance, onboard key stakeholders and coordinate their contribution
  • A Project Manager is expected to work on projects related with:
  • The implementation of new client’s routes
  • New ways of working
  • Leveraging on data for clients service improvement
  • Adaptability of information systems
  • Improvement of operational systems


Education, Qualifications and Training:

  • Business School or Master’s Degree or Engineering School

Business experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in project management required
  • Previous experience in an investment banking and/or strategy consulting will be appreciated

Work Based Competencies:

  • Mastery of project management methodologies and tools
  • Excellent command of English (writing and speaking (fluent in French is a plus)
  • Proficient command of MS tools
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication
  • Highly organized: able to multi-task (i.e. work on several initiatives at same time)
  • Ability to think strategically and step back to have perspective view on our business
  • Ability to simplify complex information in a clearly organized, appropriate and visually interesting manner
  • Strong attention to detail: needs to be the “go-to person” for project progress, task status, budget (forecasts/actuals), milestones, resources plans and schedules
