We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead and drive sales and the business in Iberia (Portugal and Spain). In this role you will focus on our customers in Pulp and Paper industries. You will plan and execute sales strategy and ensure continued growth within the country area. In this position you will be part of the Regional Sales Management team and report to the VP Sales, SEMEA.
As a leader of the sales team you are in the key role of planning and executing our strategic and operative priorities in sales and marketing. You will have a clear grasp of pulp & paper customer industries and by analyzing the markets and sales trends, you can identify new business opportunities, ensure cost competitive solution development, and fit for purpose -offering for the customers. You can also demonstrate a strong track record of forecasting, steering and developing sales to meet business targets. Targeted annual sales is about 40 M€ per year in Iberia. Ensuring customer satisfaction with viable contractual terms and conditions in a highly competitive business environment is your second nature. You are able to build relationships and trust and your customers would describe you as a valued partner.
Your communication skills allow you to set clear vision and targets, delegate and monitor performance effectively to ensure strong accountability. You are a dynamic and energetic leader but you’re not afraid to be hands-on, willing to respond quickly to organizational and customer needs. Building a high performing sales team through motivating, coaching, developing, and inspiring must be your true strength. You’re an ideal candidate if you’re a goal-oriented, revenue-focused individual with a history of top sales performance, and possess the competencies to use your own expertise to set your team’s sights on exceeding company sales goals, through successful strategic planning and sales team management. Your networking, influencing and negotiation skills will allow you to easily interact and perform in matrix structure. You are an adaptable person and your change management skills will allow you to lead your team successfully even in sometimes ambiguous environment.
To be successful in this role you must have a strong technical background within Pulp & Paper industry and track record in sales management. Besides the professional expertise the role will require a strong customer orientation, commercial aptitude and lots of energy and drive. An ideal candidate has also great communication, negotiation and team working skills.
