Team Description


Procurement Operations is the buying services arm of Cisco responsible for delivering a simplified and transparent procurement experience to business stakeholders across the company. Our global team optimizes buying processes from problem definition to execution, driving innovation & digitalization across 20+ operational services in more than 90 countries to employees and suppliers. We are currently seeking an energetic individual who is going to join our team and be part of creation, development as well as implementation of the advanced procurement strategies in the industry. The primary purpose of this position is to support procurement process innovations within PR/PO operation, Contingent Labor Services and analytics

Summary of Role

  • Point of contact for the assigned deal with indirect engagement with deal stakeholders
  • Provide a regular status updates for managed deals and pipeline review
  • Partner with operations managers to report out to deal stakeholders for major milestones
  • Engages with specialists to execute the successful delivery of the assigned deals
  • Align/Engage with other Regional DM Managers to ensure consistency of operational practices, review of best practices, close gaps
  • Accountable for alignment with offer and capabilities teams for their respective Deal Type(s)

This role is primarily responsible for managing the whole deal lifecycle management for specific deal types upon defined parameters, utilizing effective and efficient methodologies to enhance the stakeholder experience in a digitized work

Customer and Partner Services

CPS stands for Customer and Partner Services, which is part of the Operations organization. CPS provides operational support to sales, partners and customers which means that when a customer, partner, or sales person needs assistance with any operational activity or issue, they come to CPS. We in CPS help them in providing answers to their queries, right touch points within Cisco and resolving their problems. We also drive proactive initiatives or processes (deal management operations offering as an example) to support the business as efficiently as possible.

Summary of Role

  • Lookup deals assigned on Deal Management application and verify status of deals
  • Assess information provided for deals requested to be managed to ensure minimum requirements are met
  • Accept or decline deal based on information provided by Operations Management
  • Follow up with Operations Managers on missing information
  • Engage with sales stakeholders once deal has been accepted to be managed, and start planning discussion
  • Participate in weekly deal pipeline review meetings with Operations Management point of contact whenever needed
  • Call-out potential risks that may impact deal execution or our ability to deliver the deal as per requested initial timelines
  • Coordinate deal execution activities by opening cases with the appropriate Customer Service teams
  • Update progress of deals on the Deal Management application until deal is closed – ensure DM application is kept updated at ALL times throughout deal lifecycle

Qualifications and Skills

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, Math, Accounting, Information Systems or related field
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA or equivalent
  • Planning and Organizing
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision making and critical thinking
  • High level of customer focus and service excellence as you seek proactive and practical solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal/external customers and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, “can do” attitude and team player in global environment
