The Inside Sales Account Manager (ISAM) will be part of a newly created sales team which will be responsible for establishing and managing customer relationships primarily by telephone and web based tools. Key activities include consistently executing customer contacts on a regular and agreed call cycle while skillfully adding value by applying sales skills to the conversation providing a service to the customer. The ISAM will be tuned into the needs of their customers and anticipate and solve problems by providing on-demand technical and product support in close collaboration with internal functions of the company such as technical support, sales field team, credit management team and customer service .
This role spends a significant amount of time on the telephone and working on email managing customer accounts, focused on maintaining and developing business as well as developing long-term customer relationships, thus creating value through proactive account management by understanding and meeting the customers’ business needs. He/she will establish and record buying trends and purchasing patterns for assigned accounts.
The ISAM must be resilient, energetic, and able to engage customers invaluable discussions that underline the value H.B. Fuller can bring to their operations.
Our preferred candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical/mechanical or marketing field (or equivalent experience), between 2-4 years of professional sales experience, directly managing accounts and multiple technical product lines/families (preferably in the industrial chemical industry).
They should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills (native level) in:
German or Italian or French or English or Spanish.
Strong computer competency with high MS Office suite proficiency is required as well as database experience and other internet based software. Well organized, process and data driven, producing accurate and timely reports, etc.
Experience with CRM tools (ex: Salesforce) is a plus.
General office environment. Offsite customer calls as needed. Occasional attendance at industry trade shows, conferences, etc. Work is done primarily electronically and on the phone (90%).
