OSS Telecoms Engineer – Operational Excellence

We are searching for a Telecoms Engineer to be responsible for the engineering and deployment of the OSS (Operation Support Systems) solutions that enable and improve operational efficiency, namely the OSS Integration Layer (ESB – Enterprise Service Bus), BPM Solution (Business Process Management), Corporate Customers’ portal and Customer/Network automatic diagnosis tools.

Key accountabilities:

  • To communicate with OSS stakeholders to ensure true business needs are clearly identified and clearly understood at the root so that the most effective and efficient solutions can be derived;
  • To address E2E users/network requirements and needs, improving current tools, looking for new solutions;
  • To drive the vendor to implement the solutions according to the business needs. Manage relationship with business, manage key stakeholders expectations;
  • To look for synergies and innovation across Europe to serve the local markets;
  • To manage vendor in terms of RFQ, bids, catalogues, technical proposals, etc;
  • To review design and testing documents and work with technology and testing teams to ensure business requirements are satisfied;
  • To create and update planning guides, type procedures and technical specifications;
  • To test new features and software releases to be deployed in the systems;
  • To prepare OSS Operational Excellence architecture design and roadmap for its evolution;
  • To support the delivery of project financial plans and budgets;
  • To define proactive tasks for OSS & Tools to guarantee availability and high performance;
  • To support users consultancy related with OSS & Tools systems usability.

Key requirements:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Telecom Engineering or similar
  • SOA Principles, Enterprise Service Bus, Business Process Management experience
  • Database and SW Development experience (Java, PL/SQL, etc)
  • Systems and application administration, monitoring and troubleshooting experience
  • Project Management. ITIL principles, planning, risk and priority management experience
  • Knowledge of the Telecommunication business and Network Architecture
  • Good analytical and written skills
  • Multicultural exposure
  • Autonomous, agile, flexible and results oriented
  • Capable of delivering under challenging situations
