An experienced IT Manager is needed to provide day to day management of the Information Technology and Information Systems teams to deliver smooth Business as Usual operations of the CRITICAL Software global organisation’s IT assets and services across infrastructure, applications and integration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of IT Services to provide best value to the business, focused on continuous improvement and optimisation
  • Lead and maintain a high performing team (geographically distributed) that will deliver the department’s key objectives, as well as providing advice in various domains and guidance to IT staff to maximise effectiveness of IT
  • Develop, manage and implement Infrastructure aligned with business strategy
  • Develop, manage and implement business application projects supporting business goals and objectives (ERP, BI, CRM, internal developed solutions)
  • Experience in coordinating multi-project implementations
  • Experience in Change, Demand and Release management processes
  • Balance current and new resources in the context of competing business demands.
  • Drive and manage key internal and external relationships
  • Manage all vendors to contractual terms and SLA’s and take appropriate action to ensure the vendors deliver acceptable service

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • 5+ years hands-one experience in managing enterprise systems in complex organisations, with the ability to lead teams to provide enterprise-wide 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, Virtualization and Layer 3 Networking and Firewalls
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritise and manage varying workloads across multiple projects with competing timeframes
  • Good commercial understanding of application and service licensing for software (SaaS, onsite, etc.) and infrastructure
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills, communication skills (written and verbal with demonstrated ability to present technical concepts to business stakeholders) and facilitation skills and the ability to achieve consensus
  • Experience delivering cloud based infrastructure services via both internal and third party resources
  • Experience in delivering outcomes in operating a Service Management culture in a structured, planned and open manner
  • Working knowledge of management using ITIL and or COBIT principles
  • Experience managing external parties that ensure provided services
  • Strong relationship management – building and maintaining strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English
