Partner Technical Service organization is responsible for the delivery of service offerings through the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN). Eligible partners are entitled to leverage offerings to expand their skill set to compete with confidence, and execute reliable deployments using their partner advisory hours.

The Partner Solution Consultant in Partner Technical Service supports Microsoft Partners to accelerate their sales cycle by helping them design, develop and deploy customer solutions based on Microsoft Technologies and Methodologies. The role of Partner Solution Consultant is primarily technical with a strong Solution focus.

The requested help is being made on a remote basis using the phone, hence super active listening, good making questions and understanding from the abstract to the concrete skills are a must.

Apart from the phone, the candidates should have excellent 1:n communication skills, since they will be eventually be leading formal Technical presentation for big Partner audience.

The potential candidate should have a good technical understanding of all of the Microsoft Solution portfolio, as well as a deeper technical expertise in Azure and or O365 Solutions. Must have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 5 years of IT experience, involving consulting and/or development for IT scenarios.

The scope of the audience will go beyond the Portuguese market, so excellent English language skills are required, hence the candidates will be able to delivery best in class level of Support for Presales questions.



  • Delivers internal TTT for PSCs to be ready for technical content.
  • Mantains up-to-date technical/industry knwoledge and demonstrate “Experienced” technical expertise of 1 Solution Area.
  • Shares knowledge and resources globally.
  • Develops best pracitices for Solution Areas and develop/ deliver internal tech-talks/ brown-bags at level “Experienced” to improve team readiness.


  • Performs medium scoping activities and react confidently on partner requests.
  • Takes on requests with medium complexity and resolves most of them on first contact
  • Leads structured 1:M events and takes an active role in presenting most of the content.
  • Delivers 1:1 & !:M services with good efficiency regarding MPI/ preparation time.
  • Applies a good sense of efficiency when delivering 1:1 & 1:M services, while sharpening existing practice primary focus.
  • Contributes to techncial triage and technical reviews.

Trusted Advisor

  • Coaches Partners through difficult courses of action or changes and builds capacity in others.
  • Builds lasting relationship thru effective technical engagement in Advisory Solutions, enhancing Partner Experience.
  • Facilitates actions and change behavior for Partners to build their capability.
  • Cultivates Trusted Advisor Relationship to accelerate partner adoption and productive use/ development of Microsoft solutions.
  • Probes the expressed and unexpressed needs of partners to understand underlying issues.
  • Uses probing questions to help Partners define their needs and provides advice.

Offering Development

  • Customizes Solution Contect of “Experienced” level, regarding presentations, demos, labs&case studies.
  • Contributes to content review of global IPs on “Experienced” level.
  • Understands and represent the offering infrastructure, including packaging, naming, value proposition and composition of modules.
  • Creates scope documents that clearly describe the vision for local projects.
  • Provide constructive feedback to IP project team, including how to improve planning.
