BG Lead will play an integral part within Business Applications for the M&O organization. The BG Lead has end-to-end accountability for the Business Applications business in the local market or area including planning, execution and governance.

Microsoft is looking for someone with a strong sales and marketing background that can lead, motivate and develop a cross functional virtual team aiming to significantly grow the CRM and ERP markets (with strong focus on our cloud CRM-online solutions) across all enterprise segments

Integrated Marketing Planning:

  • Understand line of business decision maker audience, including audience segmentation, their attitudes and purchase behaviours
  • Develop and evangelize internally business and industry solution product marketing strategy
  • Drive execution of product roadmap and product launches
  • Develop competitive tactics to drive target market share gains
  • Determine a common set of key performance indicators for marketing activities in collaboration with other teams (i.e. central marketing organization, other business)
  • Ensure business and industry solution strategy is represented in segment plans to drive growth and share

Rhythm of the Business:

  • Track scorecard measures and key performance indicators for rhythm of the business and put in place correction of errors
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly connections meetings with regional and local stakeholders to share learnings and current state of the business

Product/Solution Evangelism:

  • Maintain product knowledge and evangelize the business and industry solution portfolio internally and externally to press, enthusiasts, influencers, events and priority customer meetings
  • Partner with internal segment teams to drive customer and partner readiness and product evangelism
  • Be the ambassador of the overall product brand experience and Microsoft customer and partner Experience

Program/Campaign Execution:

  • Actively engage across the internal segment teams and subsidiary supporting a One Microsoft approach to execute programs/campaigns locally
  • Be the voice of the field by ensuring timely updates and feedback to corporate on product marketing and campaign execution in subsidiary/area
  • Ensure campaigns are proactively monitored and optimized for improved business performance
  • Review, monitor and adjust strategies and action plans to accelerate growth and marketing share overall and against priorities competitors


  • 8-10 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in business applications/ERP/CRM/cloud or technology with a consultative selling approach


  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Computer Science. MBA preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Deep customer focus and understanding of CRM/ERP products and sales cycles
  • Understanding of line of business decision maker audience and product marketing within a consultative/solution selling model
  • Strong core marketing skills and experience
  • Strong financial and analytic skills and experience
  • Excellent communicator
  • Evangelist and subject matter expert for product/solution
