As a Research Analyst at SMG, this is what you will do:
Conduct simple qualitative, quantitative and statistical research analysis for client presentations and ad-hoc requests
Support Account Managers in determining the correct analytical approach to answer client’s questions and support key business decisions
Collaborate with fellow analysts to understand the overall research agenda
Work with internal teams to provide simple research expertise, business intelligence and analysis for existing and new business opportunities
Prepare data driven presentations that meet client needs and business objectives
Build basic statistical models that support SMG’s business model
Present data and high-level technical concepts to internal clients that summarize data in a consumable format
Ensure optimal quality and integrity of all data utilized for internal and external projects
Develop basic subject matter expertise on a specific area of focus relevant to SMG
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest level of quality
You are a perfect match for the role if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Research or related field. Master’s degree would be a bonus
Basic knowledge and application of statistical principles and methodology
At least 1 year experience in a similar field
Basic knowledge and exposure to statistical software such as SPSS or R Studio
Basic knowledge and exposure to programming languages such as Python or SQL is preferred
Basic ability to manipulate datasets in SPSS (data cleaning, recoding, assigning variable labels and values, aggregation, restructuring data) with and without SPSS syntax
Basic knowledge and exposure to statistical model building and testing
Fluency in written and spoken English
